Every Youth Deserves A Trained Leader!
Training is VITAL!
There is not much more that can be said.
The single most important thing that a leader can do to help ensure that a boy
recieves the most out of the program of the Boy Scouts of America is to be TRAINED!
Why might you be interested in "Scout Leader" training?
- The boys expect a trained leader!
- The boys want to know that you are trained!
- The boys deserve a trained leader!
- You have a responsibility to get trained!
NOW IS THE TIME!
Training is offered for Boy Scout and Cub Scout Adult Volunteers, AND Interested Parents.

Learn how to teach the 1st Class Track skills
at the Oudoor Leader Skills Training Session

Fast Start helps new leaders get up and going quickly! It teaches
the basics on how to organize and run your first youth meeting.
On-line courses are available or you may obtain the Fast Start
video from the Scout Office.

|
New Leader Essentials (NLE) highlights the basics of scouting. It covers the values, aims, history, funding and
methods of the scouting programs. This course is for all scout leaders and need only be taken once.

|
|
Leader Specific Training (LST) provides specialized knowledge to the scout leader for the position they hold.
Completing this level of training authorizes the scout leader to wear the trained patch
for the position they hold.

Additional training opportunities exist to help you improve the quality of your scouting program.
Some are required in order to carry out certain activities in your program.
Others are provided to deepen your understanding and commitment to the Scouting Program.
