Special Bulletin 2:
Lodge Chief
Danny Robb from Rochester's Troop 97 will be the Lodge Chief for 2006 -
2007. Danny took over this position last year and was elected to continue
the position for the coming year at the 2006 Blue Ox Lodge Fall Conclave.
The Blue Ox Lodge History
The Lodge existed
before it was associated with the Order of the Arrow. In the thirties, the
lodge was called The Order of the Blue Ox. In about 1935, members were
elected by the summer camp participants. Each week, one scout was elected
for the session. There were approximately 5 weeks of summer camp per year,
so 5 new members were added to the lodge annually. In about 1937, the lodge
united with the National Order of the Arrow movement and became the Blue Ox
Lodge. All current members of the Order of the Blue Ox were inducted into
the Order of the Arrow at that time. The Blue Ox Lodge is part of Gamehaven
Council in Southeastern Minnesota.

goal setting] The greatest danger for most of us is not that we aim too high and miss it,
but that our aim is too low and we reach it."
