Covid Updates December 2020
Good Afternoon Scouts & Scouters,
I would like to first start by saying I hope that everyone continues to have a Happy & Health Holiday Season!
After reviewing Executive Order 20-103 and guidance provided by the MN Department of Health we are happy to announce that Scouting meetings and outings can resume on January 4, 2021 with some minor changes.
All Cases of registered Scouts and Scouters contracting COVID-19 are to be reported using the BSA Riskonnect portal. This will be reported as General Liability using the COVID-19 Incidents/Exposures Supplemental Instructions. Failure to report instances can result in the revocation of membership in the Boy Scouts of America.
Meetings and Activities should stay to groups of no more than 15 People for both indoor and outdoor events. Indoor event is defined as a room.
You must follow the Pre-Event Medical Screening and will now use the Model COVID-19 Pre-Event Medical Screening Checklist. The checklist has been reviewed and approved by Olmsted County Public Health in place of the form we have been using since June.
Check temperatures.
Masks are required for all in attendance.
Maintain social distancing.
The council is working on a project to make the Dining Pavilion at Gamehaven Scout Reservation available for units to use as a meeting location. Currently all buildings are closed for use. If you would like to use Gamehaven Scout Reservation for an outside activity you will need to follow the reservation and roster process to do that.
We also have Cub Scout Den Kits available to help our packs in providing a great quality program as we continue to provide Scouting to all the youth we serve.
Yours in Scouting,
