Scouting is a year-round program, therefore, recruitment requires a year-round effort that allows families to join Scouting any time. Below are a variety of resources available  to assist with the planning of your recruitment efforts. 

The Key to a successful School Night recruitment event is planning. Clicking on the links below will help you with your planning and to give you ideas on how to make it fun for everyone. When you have decided on your date please go to the link below to request your recruitment materials. Allow at least a week for materials to be ready. Online registrations are designed to make it easier for 

families to join Scouting. Get all the details on how to set

up and use the online system.

Getting Ready for Online Recruitment 


BeAScout is an online portal for prospective new families to join and find out about Scouting programs in their neighborhoods. Simply go to BeAScout.org and type in your zip code to find the closest Scouting unit in your area.

Populating Unit Pin

Unit leaders should also be populating their "unit pin" in order to display the most accurate information. Special incentive if you update you pin before September 30th. You could win a $100 or $500 Scout Shop Gift card for your unit!
